What if...?

What if when we die, we wake up? What if this is all a dream? You can say you can tell the difference between life and dreaming - you can say you're more conscious when you're awake. But what if the dreams you're comparing "life" to are really a dream within this dream and our senses just grow weaker the deeper we're dreaming?
When I become conscious in my dreams, I feel out of place.
Those of us here who are "waking up" in this life feel out of place.
What if life is literally made of conscious levels and when we die, we wake in the next level?

Emotions are crazy things. They are both a blessing and a challenge to us all. We all may handle them in different ways but it is a battle nonetheless. Sometimes we love our emotions and sometimes we wish we didn't have any at all. Sometimes we embrace our emotions, other times we don't even understand how or why they came to be. Some people hide them, some fight them, and some let them take over completely. They are a core part of our being. Without them, could we even be human? It is our emotions that create our greatest accomplishments as well as our greatest tragedies. Our existence consists of countless paradoxes and one of the greatest of them are emotions. I feel we too often forget this. We take our emotions for granted, never look deep within ourselves to understand them - we toss them back in our minds like unwanted junk mail or hoard them inside our hearts like maniacs. Perhaps it is time to stop simply accepting the existence of emotions and instead begin trying to truly understand them - begin trying to truly understand ourselves.

My Dream

I dream of a world where
All people eat together, drink together,
dance together, sing together
Laugh together, play together,
rest together, pray together.
I dream of a world where all love together and all mourn together.

I dream of a world that appreciates the beauty of nature but it blind to the color of skin.
I dream of a world where we pass on our nurture from kin to kin to kin.
I dream of a world where we all appreciate the holy spirit within
and all understand that, hand in hand, all battles we can win.
I dream of a world that understands our unity and appreciates our individuality.

This dream is not so simple, yet so easy at the same time.
A paradox of possibilities, the outcome so sublime.
Look past your daily stresses to the outside of your mind
and you will find the broken line between what's yours and mine.
