A truly honest, no b.s. article.

This is what should be taught in schools - not just for this but for ALL drugs/alcohol.

Teach what it really does - the good and the bad. Otherwise, kids will learn of your lies and stop believing even what is actually fact. Be honest and open and they will listen far more than if you add in tons of scary but false b.s.

It's time for members of the Board of Education and School Administrators to stand up and speak about this big white elephant.

If you want to truly save kids from the dangers of drugs, you need to tell them the TRUTH so they will respect you. If they don't respect you (or respect you only to discover you've lied to them), they won't believe you.

I know it's hard for all the big grown ups out there to do, but sometimes you HAVE to put kids on your level and be straight-up with them - especially kids in middle school and high school. They're not as stupid as you think.

Teach the truth and you'll save more lies than you'd ever save filling their minds with terrifying lies they'll quickly learn are false.

I'm NOT saying I'm pro-pot or anything - I'm only for truth and honesty.

I remember being lied to about many things in middle school and high school and eventually I just started blocking out everything that was told to me. THAT WAS BAD. But, unfortunately, that's what kids do. If they trust you but discover you're lying, they don't know what to believe anymore and mistakes ensue. Let them know the truth from the beginning and you'll save them from SO many mistakes and hard lessons. Ok? Ok.

Boom son. That easy.
